He was predeceased by: his parents, George Chatterton and Margaret Chatterton (Farrell); and his siblings, Edward Chatterton (Kay), Eileen Henry (Ray), George Chatterton (Sharkey) and Frank Chatterton.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his sisters, Mary Kemerson and Marilyn Garger (Steve); and his children, Mary, Charlie, Katie, Patty, Eileen and Anne. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
