He was predeceased by: his parent Elmo Burdick; his spouse Mildred A. Jones Burdick; his child Donald T. Burdick; and his sibling Thelma Shiner. He is survived by: his parent Grace Crandall Burdick; his child-in-law Barbara Burdick of Stephentown; his siblings, Norma French of Averill Park, Paul Brundige (Annie) of Petersburgh and William Sharper; and his grandchildren, Anita, Angela, Aaron, Andrew and Felicia. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
