He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Cornell and Anna Belle Barton; his wife Ellen; his son Albert Cornell; and his siblings, Floyd Cornell, Kenneth Cornell, Wilbur Cornell, Lula Birdsall, Anna Olmstead, Gertrude Johnson and Elberta Gregory.
He is survived by: his children, Connie Cornell (Lee Foland), Robert E. Cornell (Kim) and John P. Cornell; his grandchildren, Amber Patrick (Megan), Taylor Lockwood, Tyrese, Alicia and Jayden Cornell; and his great grandchildren, Ayslynn, Jordan, Adrian, Tucker, Ryker and Sawyer.
