It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Romano of Berkshire, New York, who passed away on November 26, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Kuhrt and Katherine Kuhrt (Zucker); her husband Donald Romano; her granddaughter Kristi M. Lee; and her siblings, Carl, Tommy, Phyllis, Emma, Roberta and Madeline.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Romano (Michele), Charles Romano (Bonnie), Antoinette "Anne" Owens (David) and Donna Spevack (Bennett); her grandchildren, Anthony, Nicholas, Ryan, Kelsey and Samuel; her siblings, Ruth Kingsland, Sandy Semko and Palma Sibley; her niece Crissy Pignatelli; and her neighbors, Dan, Ruth Beasley and Ruth Leonard. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family asks that memorial contributions be directed to Mercy House, 212 McKinley Ave. Endicott, NY 13760 in appreciation of their loving care of Catherine.
