He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Jean Claus (MacDonald); his children, Jeffrey Claus of Walworth, Eric Claus (Laurie) of Bergen and Timothy Claus (Dawn) of Batavia; his grandchildren, Jeannie Sheehan (Simon), Michelle Drahms of Walworth, Christoper Claus and Victoria Claus; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Audrey, Grant Sheehan, Tanner Drahms and Adrianna Drahms; and his sibling Alan Claus (Diana) of Holland.
