It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Sands of Bergen, New York, who passed away on March 20, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Sloper and Mildred Sloper (Ames); and her children, Laurie Sands, Carol Coffta and Timothy Sands.
She is survived by: her husband Richard "Dick" Sands; her pet Trent; her children, Wendy Sands Didas (Greg), Byron Ariyaratnam (Chris) and Todd Sands; her grandchildren, Den Janas (Jen), Jessica Ariyaratnam, Krystal Bertand (Trevor), Jon Coffta (Marissa), Erica Sands, Amanda-Kay McCarthy (Dan), Kyle Didas (Michelle), Rachel McKissic (Asher), Jordan Coffta (Hailey), Jeremy Fink and Christopher Fink (Carrie); and also David Coffta.
