He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh A. McCartney and Helen T. McCartney (Tomsett). He is survived by: his siblings, Christine A. "Chris" McCartney and Dennis M.; his niece Kristy Murphy (Scott); and his nephews, Daniel and Jason McCartney. He is also survived by cousin, Barbara Bates, many other cousins.
