He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Vik and Althea Hoover Vik; his grandparents, Orrie, Rose Hoover, Andrew and Minnie Vik; his sister Sharon D. Johnson; and his brother-in-law David Leonard Johnson, II.
He is survived by: his wife Darla Dilker Vik; his sons, Kevin Vik (Lucy) of Warsaw, NY, Ryan Vik (Anna) of Jamestown, NY, Andrew Vik (Megan) of Lander, PA and Cole Vik of Bemus Point, NY; and his grandchildren, Morgan, Mason Vik of Jamestown, Haden and Braylon Vik of Lander, PA.
