He was predeceased by: his father Loyd Swain; his grandparents, Floyd, Geraldine Tessler, Orval and Florence Swain; and his uncles, Butch Tressler, Dave Allen and Kenneth Swain.

He is survived by: his mother Nancy Swain; his siblings, Loyd Swain II of Cooperstown, PA, JeanAnn Searl (Barry) of Cuba, NY and JoAnn Kester (Jeff) of Bemus Point, NY; his nieces and nephews, Tyson Swain (Kelly) of Pennsylvania, Nolan Searl (Megan) of Georgia, Jennifer Sawaya (Chip) of Belfast, NY, Jessica Westfall (Steve) of Florida, Corinna Hooge (Timothy) of Buffalo, NY, Courtney Sawaya of Cuba, NY, Christina Anderson (Burt) of Bemus Point, NY and Hayley Burke (Cole) of Randolph, NY; his great-nephew Harris Swain; his former wife Julie Swain; and his sister-in-law Denise Swain. He is also survived by seven great nephews and two great nieces.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice or to the Cuba Little League, PO Box 265, Cuba, NY 14727.
