We are sad to announce that on February 5, 2019 we had to say goodbye to Ida M. Hess (Belmont, New York), born in Pequea, Pennsylvania. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Howard M. Eshleman and Fannie Eshleman (Martin); her children, Lester Hess, Jr. (Rachel) of Independence, Timothy Hess (Rachel) of Independence, Jay Hess (Sandra) of Andover, Arlene Eddy (William) of Belmont, Kathy Sommers (Roy) of Harrisonburg, Lois King (Eugene) of Harrisonburg and Yvonne Reber (Nathan) of Independence; her brother John Eshleman (Jo) of Willow Street; her sisters-in-law, Arlene Eshleman of Pa, Verna Hess of Pa and Joyce Mummau (Lee) of Ohio; her siblings, Clayton Eshleman (Kathryn), Chester Eshleman, Howard Eshleman, Barbara Lefever (Jacob), Mabel Harnish (Jacob), Cora Kilheffer (Paul) and Ruth Eshleman; her siblings-in-law, Harold Hess, Benjamin Hess, Elsie Swartzentruber (Earl) and Miriam Hess; her grandson Kendall Hess; and her granddaughter-in-law Sharla King. She was also cherished by 30 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery in Belmont.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ida's name may be made to Phillips Creek Mennonite School, C/O Lester Hess, Jr., 2360 CR 22, Andover, NY 14806.Arrangements are under the direction of the Baker-Swan Funeral Home in Andover.
