He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter P. Hand and Ruth Hand (Carr); his siblings, Harold Hand, Helen Rice, Doris Williams, Gerald, Dorothy Hand and Walter Hand; and his brother-in-law Paul Lessard.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon A. Hand; his sons, Dana Hand (Jessica) and Timothy Hand (Deanna); his stepchildren, Christina Bastian (Andrew), William Giannelli Jr. and Michael Giannelli (Catherine); his grandchildren, Gavin, Cassidy Hand, Joshua and Jacob Riggs; and his siblings, William Hand (Lorie) and Edna Lessard. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
