He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Schmidt and Mary Leba Schmidt; and his wife Nita (Erss). He is survived by: his children, Debbie Barkley (Bob), Frank, Donna Gainsford (Charles) and Danny; his grandchildren, Matt Barkley (April), Zachary Barkley (Amy), Keith Gainsford and Jennifer Gainsford; and his brothers, Frank (Joanne) and Jim (Rose).
