With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Paul Michael Cooney Sr. of Bellmore, New York, who passed away on January 22, 2025 at the age of 56. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his parents, Joseph Cooney and Barbara Cooney; his children, Paul Jr., Meagan and Camryn; his siblings, Mary Theroux, Susan Bies (Peter), Joseph Cooney (Banu), Andy Cooney (Susana), Barbara Tracey (William), Monica Arav (Adrian), Raymond Cooney (Lori) and Stephen Cooney (Anne-Michele); and his stepmother Lorraine Cooney. He is also survived by his 28 nieces and nephews, and his 10 great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Paul's name may be made to the LiveOn NY Foundation to support their mission of awareness and education, research, and services for donor families and transplant patients.
