He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Mix and Ester Mix (Stall); his brothers, Richard, Herbert "Pete" and Wendell "Bill" Mix; his nephew Robert Mix; and his great-nephew Robert "Mike" Mix.
He is survived by: his goddaughter Cathy. He is also survived by 3 cousins, 10 great nephews, 5 great nieces, 8 great-great nephews, 14 great-great nieces, 2 great-great-great nephews and 5 great-great-great nieces.
