She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay Armstrong and Louise Armstrong (Unger); and her daughter Leah R. Slavin. She is survived by: her husband Bruce H. Abbott; her daughter Vikki Johnson (Scott) of Middletown, DE; and her siblings, Sharon Cummings (Richard), James Armstrong, Kathleen Schumann, David Armstrong (Peggy), Geneveive Cox and John Armstrong (LaNor). She is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
