Veterans National Cemetery, Bath, NY, Memorial Service: Saturday Nov. 11, 2023 11:00 am, Methodist Church, Belfast, NY, Barbara A. Spink Barbara A. Spink, 97 of 115 South Main St., Belfast passed away at her home to be with her Savoir and Lord on Thursday, November 2, 2023. Born November 7, 1926 she was the daughter of Gerald and Doris Robeson Soden. On March 2, 1946 in Chicago, she married Stephen A. Spink who predeceased her on 11-10-20.
Barbra had resided most of her life in Belfast. In 1944 she graduated from Castile Central School and came to the Belfast area in 1959. For the next many years she raised her family and was a receptionist in her husband's office where he was a doctor in Belfast.
She enjoyed gardening, knitting and baking. Most of all she loved her family and impacting her more than 100 Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.
She was a member of the Belfast 1st Baptist Church.
Surviving are 5 sons, Paul D. (Susan) Spink of Clymer, NY, Stephen W. (Janet) Spink of Indianapolis, IN, Rev. Kenneth J. (Debbie) Spink of Berea, OH, David T. (Dawn) Spink of Natal, Brazil, and Jonathan (Kim) Spink of Dundee, NY; 7 daughters, Doris A. (John) DiPasquale of Check, VA, Kathyrn (Walter) Enders of Belfast, NY, Marion A. Gordon of Belfast, NY, Janet (Paul) Lovell of Dallas, TX, Helen C. Spink of Belmont, NY, Esther R. (Chris) McClure of Seminole, FL, and Sharon M. (Eric) Kessel of Bradford, PA; 53 grandchildren; 76 great grand grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Donna Lyons of New Mexico and Carol Delp Henry of N. Tonawanda, NY; and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was predeceased by a brother, Ramon Soden; a sister, Louise Oches; and 2 grandchildren, Eve Enders and Wesley Gordon.
Friends may call at the Treusdell Funeral Home, Belfast Thursday November 9, 2023, from 6-9 pm. Burial will be in the Veterans National Cemetery, Bath, NY on Friday Nov. 10, 2023 at 9:00am. Memorial Service Saturday November 11, 2023 11:00 am at the Methodist Church in Belfast with meal to follow.
Memorials may be made to – Bibles International or charity of the donor's choice. The service will be live streamed at 11:00 am on Saturday Nov 11, 2023. from the Belfast United Methodist Church.
