He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Gonya and Florence Gonya (Monty). He is survived by: his wife Ruth Gonya of Beekmantown; his children, Carl Gonya of Beekmantown, Thomas Gonya (Elin) of Beekmantown and Susan Richards (Dana) of Beekmantown; his sister Evelyn Bennett of Peru; and his grandchildren, William Gonya, Nathanael Gonya, Dana Richards Jr., Daniel Richards and Annika Gonya. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
