He will be forever remembered as a loving father to three girls, a doting grandfather to five grandchildren, a caring brother, and generous friend and longtime community member. Born in Flushing, NY to the late Joseph and Ida (LaBarbera) D'Angelo, Sandy attended Flushing High School where he met his loving wife of 54 years Gonda (Sussheim) until her passing in 2006. He had a successful corporate career in human resources and labor relations, having held several executive positions at General Foods, Revlon and later GlaxoSmithKline. After retiring, Sandy and Gonda spent much of their time traveling throughout the world. In his free time he loved watching classic movies and reading, and frequented the Bedford Public Library. He was an avid golfer and former member of Mount Kisco Country Club. Perhaps his most prized round was when he shot a double eagle on Michigan's Broadmoor course in 1973.
