He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Hughes and Plumel Hughes; his children, Richard Hughes, Stephen Hughes, Kathleen Pelllicco (Joe) and Christopher Hughes; and his siblings, Norman Hughes of Washington and Muriel Douglas of Rhode Island.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Hughes; his children, Kevin Hughes (Janet) and Karen Beckleman (Bob); and his grandchildren, Thomas Evans, Blair Bissett, Micheal Rosenschein, Micheal Hughes, Richard Hughes, John Rosenschein, Meghan Haury, Katherine Rosenschein, Ryan Hughes, Tara Hughes and Lisa Fotty.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church 7 Pound Ridge Road Bedford, New York.
