He was predeceased by: his parents, Minoru Arita and Miyoko Taki Arita; and his brother Robert Arita. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Tropeano Arita of Bedford, NY.; his sons, Robert Arita of Kauai, Jonathan Arita of Montauk, NY and Richard Arita, Sr. (Krystin Moonan) of Ridgefield, CT.; his siblings, Richard Arita (Sherry) of Sommers, NY. and Sandra Dunigan (Chris) of Rye Brook, NY.; and his grandchildren, Elijah Arita, Miyoko Arita, Richard Arita, Jr., Kaia Arita, Margaret Arita and Addison Arita.
