He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Steitz and Ella Steitz (Antpusat); and the mother of his child Patricia Ann Steitz (O'Connell). He is survived by: his sister Judith Lynn; his wife Colleen Steitz (Haggerton); his daughter Nancy Jennifer Steitz; his stepdaughter Dawn Kalleberg (Eric); and his granddaughter Kelly Elizabeth Kalleberg.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Woodstock Rescue Squad.
