She was predeceased by: her parent Alpheda Salvas. She is survived by: her parent Henri Salvas; her spouse Michael Corrado; and her siblings, Catherine Gregory and Walter Salvas. She is also survived by the 12 grandchildren and their spouses and significant others, and her 14 great grandchildren.
Mabel was, as some have said, a "saintly woman." Everyone who knew her would share she was "one of a kind" and 'very hard to find another." She never had a bad thing to say about anyone and was not part of gossip. Her devotion to Mary and the Miraculous Medal, all the Saints in Heaven and her Catholic Faith which she openly shared with all of us made Mom such a glowing human being. She was the epitome of grace and kindness. Our loving Mom and Grandma. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, August 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 27 at 10 a.m. at St. Joachim Church, 51 Leonard Street. Burial will follow at St. Joachim Cemetery, Beacon. Memorial donations in memory of Mabel may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 2 Oak Street, Beacon, New York 12508.
