He was predeceased by: his parents, Vidal Rivera and Amparo Osuba; his grandson Robert Webber; and his siblings, Pedro, Miguel, Eduardo 'Santo', Nelson, Jose, Vidal Jr. 'David' and Blanca Hernandez.
He is survived by: his wife Cherry Rivera; his children, Victoria Rivera-Dandrade (Samuel), Anna Rivera (Martin Tinsley), Lisa Rivera (Shawn Robinson), Lydia Rivera and Julio Michael 'Pito Rivera (Vianey Perez); his brother Wilfredo 'Freddy Rivera; and his stepbrother Ingram 'Cowboy'. He is also survived by his 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
