She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Jess and Robert O. Merritt; her brother Robert Merritt; and her daughter Abigail Knight MacDonald. She is survived by: her husband Ian G. MacDonald; her children, Ian S. MacDonald (Renee) of Fishkill and Sarah Mumm (David) of Rhode Island; and her granddaughter Evelyn Mumm.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Hudson Valley Hospice and Hospice of Orange and Ulster County.
