We are sad to announce that on March 12, 2019, Inez Batten (Beacon, New York), born in Lancaster, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Patterson and Elizabeth Patterson (Nathan); her husband James Batten; her sons, Fred Jackson and Henry Thorpe; and her grandson Jamel Blake.
She is survived by: her children, William Jackson (Pearl), Chester Thorpe, Michael Thorpe (Helen), Alan Thorpe, Donald Thorpe, Joann Blake and Sandra Looby (Derriell). She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, grand's & friends.
The family wishes in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to the Hudson Valley Hospice, 374 Violet Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
