He was predeceased by: his wife Marylou DiBella (Holmes); and his sister Teresa Hagedorn (DiBella). He is survived by: his children, Patricia Kreger, Donna DiBella, Peter and James. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to either Catholic Relief Services, the American Heart Association, or the American Chemical Society Scholars Program.
