He was predeceased by: his parents, David Ruf and Margaret "Peggy" Ruf. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Devlin Ruf; his daughters, Kelly and Katy; his granddaughter Kehlani; and his siblings, Kathy Anderson, Patricia Ruf, Peter Ruf, Christopher Ruf and Kelly Igoe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
