He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Idema Jr. and Mary Idema (Kacur); his son David J. 'DJ Idema; and his brother Paul Idema. He is survived by: his former wife Donna Idema (Voght); his daughters, Shontae Swain (Troy), Shannon Idema, Alison Idema and Jamie Idema; his grandchildren, Mason, Dilynn, Carson-Rae, Kenley, Chloe, Briel, Devin, Toby and Tori; and his siblings, Peter Idema III and Diane Galucci. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
