Zofia Maksymowicz Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Zofia Maksymowicz of Bay Ridge, New York, who passed away on August 9, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Kazimierz Burzynski and Anna Burzynski; her siblings, Stefan, Szczepan and Michalina; her husband Zenon Maksymowicz; her children, Tylzanowski, Auschwitz, Dachau, Zofia and John; her daughter-in-law Catherine of Reston, VA; and her sister Janina.
She was sustained by her Catholic faith, and was a regular parishioner at St. Anselm's Church in Brooklyn well into her late 80s, when her Parkinson's made mobility difficult.
