He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Foxwell and Elizabeth E. Foxwell Sr. (Garnett); his spouse Constance "Connie" Sanford; his siblings, Charles Foxwell, Lola Atkins and Vernie Lumpkin; and his stepson Michael Recktenwald.
He is survived by: his brother Joseph Foxwell (Lois) of Virginia; his nieces and nephews, Scarlet Foxwell, Gloria Jean Lumpkin, Faye Miller (Steve), Elain Garner (Greg), Neale Foxwell (Carole), John S. Foxwell (Donna), Dennis Lumpkin (Sheron) and Cirk Foxwell (Gail); and his stepchildren, Deborah Sims (Frederick) of Avoca, James Royer (Cathy) of Florida and Thomas Sanford of California.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the charity of the donors choice.
