He was predeceased by: his father David Norton; and his daughter Allie Zarty. He is survived by: his mother Mary Woods (Heisler) of California; his stepmother Anne Norton of Hilton; his children, Marissa Norton, Ryan M. Norton Jr. of Batavia, Gabe Norton, Becky Kantz, Justin Kantz of York and Duane Godfrey; his girlfriend Michelle Kantz; and his siblings, Tom Norton (Sherrie) of Hamlin, Jason Norton (Michelle) of Oakfield, Michael Kramer and Tammy Kramer. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
