In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Kathy leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Kathy may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Winfield and Olive Marie Mapes (Baube); her husband Jack Hartwig; and her brother Stephen E. Mapes. She is survived by: her siblings, Vicki A. Moore of Prattville, AL and Richard W. Mapes of Batavia; and her stepsons, Stephen and Chris Hartwig. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mercy (44 Lake St, Le Roy, NY 14482).
Kathy was also a breast cancer survivor and so in lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
