It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Anthony Riley of Batavia, New York, born in Albany, New York, who passed away on September 8, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Margaret Riley (Stapf). He is survived by: his wife Marcia Riley (Hemenway); his children, John C. Riley (Jessica) and Kate J. Riley; his grandchildren, John Davis Riley, Campbell Riley, Alexis Pape, Becca Pape and Libby Pape; his siblings, Joseph Riley and Mary Maier (Rob); his nephew Ian Maier (Martina); his sister-in-law Lynne Whetzel; and his nieces, Susan Whetzel (Torin Block) and Karen Whetzel (Anton Burkett).
