He is survived by: his children, Kristen Heather Elkins (Jeremiah) of East Pembroke, Jennifer Nicole Lendvay (Jason) and Joshua Michael Pacino (Carrie Rousseau) of Batavia; his grandchildren, Izabella Elkins, Tyler Jay, Austin Jase Lendvay, Matthew and Garrett Rousseau; his sisters, Joan Eva Halfenger (late Gerald) of Batavia, Judi Maluso (Felix) of Batavia, Janice Hunt (Keith) of Batavia, Melanie Cohen (Craig) of Kenmore and Pamela Mills (Patrick) of Miami, FL; his nephews, G. Michael Halfenger (Melissa) of Whitefish Bay, WI, Jeff Konarski of Batavia, John Konarski (Melissa) of Ellicottville, Philip Cohen (Kelsey) of Kenmore and Daniel Cohen (Amber) of Kenmore; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Matthew, Kyleigh Halfenger, Gaege Morris, Blaise, Marley Konarski, Nika, Jionni and Winter Cohen.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in James' honor to the Batavia City Schools Foundation for the establishment of a wrestling scholarship.
