He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Alvut and Barbara Alvut (Kowalik). He is survived by: his wife Brenda S. Alvut (Worthington); his children, Emily Alvut of Philippi, WV and Michael Alvut (Rebecca Saile) of Batavia; and his sister Sandy DiSalvo (David) of Batavia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
