He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Merrell and Clara Nevinger Merrell; and his brother Robert Merrell. He is survived by: his siblings, Gordon Merrell of Batavia and Verna Oehler (John) of Batavia; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Hughes, Kati Bernard, John Matthew Oehler, Robert Merrell Jr. and Jason Merrell; and his sister-in-law Marsha Merrell.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. Leonard McAndrew Funeral Home (2 Bogue Ave, Batavia, NY 14020).
