The memory of Florian R. Czaja of Batavia, New York, who passed away on November 14, 2024 at the age of 90, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Czaja and Stella Czaja Pigula; his grandson Jared Diehl; and his siblings, Blanche Konarski (Donald), Stanley Czaja (Florence) and Paul Czaja.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Hokula Czaja; his daughters, Janice Keatley (Frank) of Himrod, NY, Jeanette Diehl (Michael) of Elba and Jacqueline McDonald (Mark) of Griffin, GA.; his grandchildren, Lynn Spinelli (Gregory), Gregory VanBuren (Gabriella), James Diehl (Ashley), Kenneth Hagen (Kaleigh), Kelsey Diehl, Mark McDonald Jr., Jennifer Pakiela (Adam), Brad Keatley (Donna) and Nicole Gajewski (Matthew); his great grandchildren, Jacoby, Samantha, Jameson Spinelli, Grey VanBuren, Evelyn, Michael Diehl and Bryson Diehl; his sister Barbara Guiliani (Alex); and his in-laws, Frank Hokula and Mary Ann Harmor, Jr. (Richard). He is also survived by several step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the J. Leonard McAndrew Funeral Home (2 Bogue Ave, Batavia, NY 14020). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Ascension Parish South Swan (19 Sumner St, Batavia, NY 14020).
