He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Czaja and Stella Czaja Pigula; his grandson Jared Diehl; and his siblings, Blanche Konarski (Donald), Stanley Czaja (Florence) and Paul Czaja.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Hokula Czaja; his daughters, Janice Keatley (Frank) of Himrod, NY, Jeanette Diehl (Michael) of Elba and Jacqueline McDonald (Mark) of Griffin, GA.; his grandchildren, Lynn Spinelli (Gregory), Gregory VanBuren (Gabriella), James Diehl (Ashley), Kenneth Hagen (Kaleigh), Kelsey Diehl, Mark McDonald Jr., Jennifer Pakiela (Adam), Brad Keatley (Donna) and Nicole Gajewski (Matthew); his great grandchildren, Jacoby, Samantha, Jameson Spinelli, Grey VanBuren, Evelyn, Michael Diehl and Bryson Diehl; his sister Barbara Guiliani (Alex); and his in-laws, Frank Hokula and Mary Ann Harmor, Jr. (Richard). He is also survived by several step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
