With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Beattie of Batavia, New York, born in Troy, New York, who passed away on May 8, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stearns Beattie and Anne McCaffrey Beattie. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Bird Beattie of Batavia; his sons, Brian Beattie (Bonnie Bright) of Gainesville, GA and Keith Beattie (Tina Cerja) of Virginia Beach, VA.; his stepchildren, Michael Lane of Oak Ridge, NC and Kim Lane (Chris Ryer) of Baltimore, MD.; his grandson J. Simon Beattie; his stepgranddaughters, Abbey Lane-Sulton, Sydney Lane-Ryer and Amanda Lane; his great grandchild Aubrey Beattie; and his siblings, Patricia McGraw of Glens Falls, NY, Robert Beattie (Patricia) of Wynantskill, NY and Joan Anderson (Steve) of Roseville, MN.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may offer memorials in his name to Mary Immaculate Parish.
