He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Palmer and Catherine Yell Palmer; and his brother Charlie Palmer. He is survived by: his former wife Jennie Bowman; and his children, Gary, Laurie and Ted. He is also survived by his family that survives him; his three children, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
