With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Schuler Coughlin (Batavia, New York), who passed away on September 5, 2023 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William Coughlin; her parents, Rolland Schuler and Evelyn Schuler; and her siblings, Rolland Schuler and Janet Hensel.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Hanlon (late Dennis), Nancy Harrington (Peter), Peter Coughlin and William Coughlin; her sister Cora Ann Richenberg; her grandchildren, Megan Unger (Joshua), Kristin Witty (Christopher), Janelle Rinker (Joshua), Kelly Hartz (Ryan) and Adam Hanlon (Jennifer); and her great grandchildren, Keelin, Ella, Max, Evelyn, Caroline, Cedella, Brady and Lincoln. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Elba Presbyterian Church, 24 North Main Street, Elba, New York 14058 towards their Sunday School Program or to St. James Episcopal Church, 405 East Main Street, Batavia, New York 14020.
