He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Thompson and Minnie Buckholtz Thompson; and his siblings, Joseph Thompson, Iona Thompson and Richard Thompson (late Lorraine).
He is survived by: his nephews, Robert Thompson (LaNora) of Basom, John Thompson (Lori) of Attica, Daniel Manges (Katie) of Oakfield, Bryan Thompson (Robyn) of Irondequoit, Steven Thompson of Buffalo and Owen Thompson of Buffalo; his niece Diana Harrison (Phillip) of Dansville, NY; and also, Ryan Manges, Alaina Manges, Kaelyn Oliver and Brennan Harrison.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Alabama Basom Global Methodist Church (1392 Church St, Alabama, NY 14013). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alabama Basom Global Methodist Church or to the Alabama Fire Department. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at http://www.mcandrewfuneralhomes.net.
