Richard D. Moody Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard D. Moody (Ballston Spa, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 11, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Moody and Samuel D. Moody; and his former wife Joan Moody (Dunlop). He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Moody; his daughters, Terri Sherman (Dave Axenfeld) and Kelli Currey (Matt); his grandchildren, Kyle Sherman, Zachary Sherman and Leah Currey; his sister Marie Woodruff (Pete); his nephew Jon Woodruff (Erin); and his great-niece Josephine.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Armer Funeral Home, Inc. (39 E High St, Ballston Spa, NY 12020). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Gerald Bh Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery (200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871-1721).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Norwich University, Office of Development, 158 Harmon Drive, Northfield, VT 05663-1035, in honor of Richard's enduring commitment to education.
