He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Thackeray and Virginia Thackeray; his stepmother Rita Thackeray; and his siblings, Patricia Thackeray and Douglas Bonk.
He is survived by: his wife Christina DelPrado; his children, Virginia Thackeray (Sungho), Rachel Thackeray (David) and Patrick Thackeray; his stepchildren, Jennifer DelPrado (Daniel), Christopher DelPrado (Justine) and Ashlynn Dunham (Peter); his grandchildren, Morgan, Paige and Joseph; and his siblings, John Thackeray (Megan), Ann Drew (Daniel), Delia Thackeray, Margaret Hilson (John), Kevin Bonk (Dorothy) and David Bonk (Dianne). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
