He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Lilian Sweetmore Newell; his daughter Elizabeth Campbell Burke (David); his significant other Margaret Fitzgerald Newell; his children, Maura Newell Juan (Emmanuel) and David Newell (Sybil); his grandchildren, Jacob Samek, Lucas Newell, Anselm Juan, Lillian Newell, Campbell Juan and Bruce; and his siblings, Jean McGee, Barbara Gabriel, Elizabeth Pasquerella, Pat Carlino and Sonny Napolitano.
