He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Manzer and Lottie Fitzgerald Manzer; and his siblings, James and Velma (Mirza Akhtar). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He also was an avid collector of books and other materials relating to the area, donating his collection of more than 1, 000 items to the Ballston Spa Public Library.
