He was predeceased by: his parents, Josef Konig and Walburga Konig; and his sister Edith Ott. He is survived by: his wife Erika Konig; his children, Linda Echevarria (Ray) and Robert Konig (Maria); his grandchildren, Christian Echevarria, Marco and Michael Konig; and his siblings, Helmut and Ursela.
