He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Wells; and his children, Betti-Jo Gray and Roy E. Wells, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Virginia Pike, Bobbi-Jo Beam, Barbara Hess, Mary Gratton-Bowman, Heidi Wells, Charles Gratton and Randy Wells.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Humane Association of CNY, 4915 West Taft Road, Liverpool, NY 13088.
