He was predeceased by: his parents, John Liberty and Margaret Liberty (Demmerle); and his sister Shirley DiDomenico. He is survived by: his wife Judy Liberty (Russo); and his children, Maria Congelo (Michael), John Liberty, Celeste Patnode (Mark), Jodie Thompson (Troy) and Richard Liberty (Terry). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice or Wounded Warrior Project.
