It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Anna Melnick of Baldwinsville, New York, born in Syracuse, New York, who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Trifon Melnick and Anna Romanuk Melnick; her siblings, Barbara Gonsa, George and Stephen Melnick; and her betrothed Sergei Gorbatsevich.
She is survived by: her sister Olga Demetriades of Wyomissing, PA; and her friend Michael Tabaczyk of Syracuse. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Buranich Funeral Home (5431 W Genesee St, Camillus, NY 13031). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 6:00 PM and on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at the Peter and Paul Orthodox Catholic Cemetery (1424 Jamesville Ave, Syracuse, NY 13210).
