It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lorraine J. McCarthy (Baldwinsville, New York), born in Syracuse, New York, who passed away on May 3, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Maholick and Stella Maholick (Weirzbicki); her siblings, Henry Maholick, Leo Maholick and Delores Sakowski; and her granddaughter Vanessa McCarthy.
She is survived by: her husband Leo R. McCarthy, Jr..
She was a former President of the CNY Chapter of the Lupus Foundation; a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States; and an active member of the Civic Social Club of Greater Syracuse.
